3 Tips to Finding and Keeping Your Inspiration
Sep 7 in
Smart Thinking Most of us have a reason we run the business we do. Some of us do it because we need the money or to avoid working outside the home. Some of us do it so we have extra money to spend each week, and others do it for the satisfaction of helping others.
Remembering your inspiration can be difficult at times, especially when you are having a down day or when you're not quite making the income you want or need.
The first thing you need to do is find your inspiration. Think about your life and why you are running your business. Is it because of your children or your spouse? Could it be because you want to buy a brand new car, or is it because you have a dream of being debt free within the next few years? Whatever your inspiration is, you need to find it and then follow the steps below to keep it in your mind.
Write it down.
Write your inspiration down, and then put it in a place where you will see it regularly. If your business is done on the computer, put a note with your inspiration on your computer or on your desk where you will see it every time you sit down. Put it in your planner so you will see it each time you refer to it. Place it on the fridge, on the mirror in the bathroom, and in your car. When you see it on a regular basis, you will always remember why you are doing what you are doing.
Share with others.
Share your inspiration with others. Share it with your spouse, your family, your friends, and others who will hold you accountable to what you are doing. They will help remind you of your inspiration when you are down and need it the most, and be sure to tell them when you need help so that they know you need the reminder.
Meditate or pray.
When you meditate or pray every day and you include your inspiration when you do it, it will always be there. When you think about it daily and you keep it fresh in your mind, you will be able to keep on doing what you do, because you will know the exact reason for it.
Having an inspiration for what you do will help you to know why you are doing it and will keep going each and every day.
